Welcome To My Online Résumé! How would you like an engineer, chemist, equipment operator, and a computer professional to work for you? If you need someone that ties all these professions together through experience and knowledge, then I may be the person your company is looking for. I am currently attending the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile, Alabama. I am looking forward to the challenges in the field of information science after I graduate in May 2000. The university requires all computer and information science majors to complete a team project (senior project). This project is divided into 2 semesters. The first semester is the planning, analysis and design phase. The second semester is the implementation and maintenance phase. At the end of the semester a presentation, by the team, is given to the student body and professors. My team project consists of a data warehouse, a datamart, data mining, and a software robot. We are searching the Internet to obtain demographic information about our cliental (which has been provided). The team has selected Oracle as the backbone for the data warehouse and the datamart. We are designing a software robot to place the demographic information gathered from the internet, into the data warehouse. Upon a user request, information from the data warehouse will be mined (data mining) and placed into a visual interface that the user understands. To create the visual interface and make it compatible with both the Internet and Oracle, we chose to use Visual Basic. The output information displayed to the user, is to support the management decision-making process. If this type of knowledge and my work experience is what you're looking for, please email me at the address provided below. Thank you for your time. John A Long
